This performance stages a simple and distorted act of reading.
The read text is an excerpt from Global Charter of Ethics for Journalists published by International Federation of Journalists. I trained myself to recite it backwards, and then edited the recording in reverse. What is audible is moderately close to the original text but sounds awkward and fractured.

The subtitles help you to follow the text in its intact form when the voice fails with its awkward and twisted recitation. This performance experiment was shot in rather theatrical setting to exaggerate the gap between pristine writing and the body that utters it, between written clarity and spoken failure. Here the language, sound, and caption don’t align.
